Many of our home renovations over the past 15 years have included new kitchen designs. Each kitchen project tells a unique story, shaped by thoughtful design choices that reflect not just beauty, but also the way our clients live and connect with their spaces.

In this blog, we invite you to step inside some of these beautifully designed kitchens and read through the stories behind our projects. We design kitchens for city homes, beach retreats and mountain chalets. City Pied a Perre

For this kitchen renovation, our clients envisioned a connection between indoor and outdoor living, embracing the beauty of natural light and open space. By installing expansive window doors, we allowed the boundaries between the interior and exterior to gently blur. The result is a space that feels open yet intimate. To enhance the functionality and flow, we opted for a gallery layout—a design that not only promotes efficiency but also enhances the overall ambiance. If you want to know more about kitchen layouts, you can explore our blog The Big Picture and the Details in Kitchen Design. The colour palette, centered around crisp whites, brings a sense of calm and freshness to the space, while the choice of zellige tiles for the backsplash adds texture and charm, offering a beautiful contrast to the clean lines of the cabinetry. To further enhance the warmth and mood of the space, we introduced a layered lighting scheme-recessed downlights for subtle task lighting, wall lights for ambient illumination, and a series of pendant lights that add elegance. To complete the design, we incorporated a cozy dining area within the kitchen itself, positioning a dining table and chairs.

Metropolitan family villa

The centerpiece of this kitchen, a striking island with a veneer finish, is complemented by a meticulously selected Marinace rosso marble worktop. This bold statement piece contrasts beautifully with the sleek, slim solid oak cabinetry from Bulthaup, which is paired with cabinetry with brushed, tinted aluminum doors, creating a tactile interplay of materials. The glass backsplash further amplifies the kitchen’s brightness, reflecting natural light and expanding the sense of space. Stainless steel hardware ties everything together. High-performance appliances were thoughtfully selected to enhance the kitchen’s functionality, we mixed brands including to select the best from Gaggenau fridges, V-Zug ovens and dishwashers, a cutting-edge hob from Bora, along with the convenience of a Quooker system delivering sparkling water and an integrated Insinkerator. Finally, the layered lighting plan—including flexible track downlights , discreet under-cabinet lighting and backlit mirrors —illuminates the space with a soft, inviting glow, ensuring that every corner is imbued with warmth.

Surfer’s paradise, BEACH Bungalow

For the kitchen of this serene beach bungalow, the client desired a space that embraces the laid-back coastal lifestyle while effortlessly accommodating large family gatherings. We began by designing a bright, airy kitchen with an open-plan layout, seamlessly extending into the terrace where you can hear the gentle sound of the ocean. The focal point is a beautifully crafted white kitchen with clean lines and a warm wooden countertop, echoing the natural surroundings. To enhance the indoor-outdoor living experience, we integrated large exterior sliding shutters, providing both shade and privacy while maintaining the sea breeze. The terrace flows naturally from the kitchen, with communal extendable tables inside and out, perfect for both intimate dinners and larger family get-togethers. Every detail, from the natural light pouring in-  to the effortless blend of textures-  was designed to create a space that feels both sophisticated and relaxed; a true coastal haven.

Urban Townhouse

For this project, the client envisioned an open-plan design tailored for occasional entertaining and minimal cooking, perfect for their small family Pied-à-Terre in London. With expansive windows along one wall allowing an abundance of natural light to pour in, the space felt bright and open, though it limited cabinetry options. Inspired by the client’s affinity for the understated elegance and serene simplicity of The White Company, we designed an L-shaped kitchen featuring off-white Shaker units. To create a sense of openness, a wall was removed, unveiling a more generous layout. The light oak flooring adds warmth and texture to the predominantly white colour scheme

Mountain Chalet

For this luxurious mountain chalet, the client sought an opulent yet warm and inviting kitchen that perfectly complements the breathtaking alpine surroundings. We brought this vision to life by blending rustic charm with high-end luxury. The kitchen features stunning wooden cabinetry, carefully crafted to add warmth and texture, paired beautifully with sleek Patagonia marble countertops that introduce an air of elegance and refinement. The space is anchored by two grand chandeliers, adding drama and a sense of sophistication. Mosaic tile flooring ensures practicality and durability without compromising on style. Designed with entertaining in mind, the open kitchen flows effortlessly into the living areas, allowing for seamless transitions during gatherings. The result is a kitchen that combines the richness of natural materials with luxurious details, creating a warm, welcoming retreat that is as functional as it is stunning—perfect for hosting après-ski dinners or cozy family meals.

Canary Wharf Skyline

Perched on the 33rd floor of a Canary Wharf skyscraper, this project offers breathtaking, floor-to-ceiling glazed views of London’s iconic skyline. The brief called for a contemporary design with vibrant styling. The primary objective was to optimize the use of space within the open-plan living and dining area. A striking black-and-white colour palette was introduced for the bespoke cabinetry, with sleek, handleless kitchen units. The clean lines were complemented by a seamless marble-effect quartz backsplash and  worktop, achieving a refined and minimalist aesthetic. Reflective surfaces and discrete indirect lighting were thoughtfully integrated to enhance the sense of space and ambiance during different times of entertaining. New pale oak flooring was installed to contrast with the dark low units  softening the space and creating a bright atmosphere that makes the open plan home in the sky feel more expansive.
